Investigations are continuing into a road accident which claimed the lives of a motorcyclist, a female pedestrian and her dog. It happened near Chafey's roundabout in Weymouth at the weekend.
Police say the motorcyclist was a 23-year-old man from Weymouth and the pedestrian was a 63-year-old woman, also from Weymouth. Their next of kin have been informed.
Local people have been left devastated after a motorcyclist ploughed into a pedestrian in Weymouth, killing them both.

Residents have spoken of their shock and sadness at the incident, which happened at the same spot tragic Lily-Mae Jeffries was struck in 2012 on the A354 Weymouth Way.
The road was closed from Chafeys roundabout to Swannery Bridge for around five hours as emergency services worked.

The biker, a 23 year old man, was also killed after his bike crashed into them near Chafey's roundabout in Weymouth on Saturday evening.
The air ambulance attended but all three died at the scene.
Police said the motorcyclist had been riding his bronze-coloured Honda from Westwey Road junction towards Chafeys Roundabout shortly after 5pm.
Witnesses are being sought.
