Hundreds of people turned out for Sussex Emergency Services' annual Open Day. Fire crews and police units demonstrated their skills at the show which was opened by Sussex Police Commissioner Katie Bourne
Sussex Police Commissioner Katy Bourne got into the spirit of things as she opened the Mid Sussex 999 Day in Burgess Hill.
She hula hooped at the event, designed to raise awareness of the work done by the county's emergency services.
Hundreds attended the day, at the World's End Recreation Ground.
All 3 emergency services were represented, with displays during the day, including cutting people out of cars, chip pan fire demos, police dogs, and Thames valley Police horses.
