Two injured in late night assaults

Police are appealing for witnesses after two late-night assaults in Alton High Street. A 20 year old man suffered a broken jaw after being assaulted outside the Royal Kebab take away at 1.30am last night

Following the assault it is believed that the offender was chased from the scene.

Shortly after this first incident a 24-year-old man was assaulted outside Sainsbury. He suffered minor injuries.

Detective Constable Mark Blake from Winchester CID said: “There were a large number of people in the area of Alton High Street at the time of these incidents.

“I want to hear from anyone who witnessed either of the assaults and can help us piece together the sequence of events and locate those responsible.”
