Another surgery to close amid Brighton GP crisis

In less than three weeks time another GP practice in Brighton and Hove will close. It means 2,000 patients - at Woodingdean's Ridgeway Surgery - will have to find another doctor. Since 2015 six other surgeries have shut and the local health watchdog says it has affected around 30,000 patients in total.

Another surgery to close amid Brighton GP crisis

Almost 30,000 patients have been affected by the closure of seven GP surgeries in Brighton. Ridgeway Surgery will be the latest to go when it closes at the end of the month. It will leave more than two thousand patients looking for alternative care. The local Clinical Commissioning Group says practices have closed for a number of different reasons - including two partners deciding to retire - over the last two years.

Patient, Sacha Latham, has told ITV News Meridian about the difficulties she faced finding a GP.
