Southampton defeated in FA Cup semi-final

Disappointment for Southampton fans after their dreams of reaching their first FA Cup Final since 2003 were dashed.

Over 30,000 Saints supporters travelled to Wembley, but Chelsea proved too strong. Goals from Giroud and Morata made sure it will be a Chelsea v Man Utd final on May 19th.

Southampton's Charlie Austin had a goal disallowed and hit the post. But Saints fell short. Now they will concentrate on their fight against relegation.

They take on AFC Bournemouth at St Mary's on Saturday, four points off survival.
