Victim "knew his attackers"

Police said they believe a man in his 20s, who died after being stabbed, knew those who attacked him.

Officers are following a number of leads after arresting two men as part of a murder investigation in Bracknell in Berkshire.

The investigation is still in an early stage, however we do have two men in custody and a number of enquiries are underway. I would like to reassure residents that a full investigation is taking place and incidents such as this are rare in Bracknell. We also believe the victim knew his attackers and this was not a stranger attack."

Man stabbed in chest

Thames Valley Police has launched a murder investigation after man was found in Bracknell with a stab wound to his chest.

Police were called by paramedics at 11.25pm on 21st September 2013, after reports a man had been stabbed at an address in Appledore in Great Hollands.

They discovered a man in his twenties with a stab wound to his chest. Despite being treated at the scene, he died a short time later.

Two men, aged 42 and 31, have been arrested on suspicion of murder and are in police custody.
