Family pay tribute to Folkestone murder victim

The family of a man who was murdered in Folkestone have paid tribute to him. Tim Clayton died following serious head injuries. A 54-year-old man has been charged with his murder.

His daughter Jessica, said: 'Dad was always smiling. We all knew he had his demons but despite what was going on in his life, he would always go out of his way to help other people.'

His son Jake said: 'It has been amazing that people have said that they remember him although he may have only served them once. I think it is because he would always do that little bit extra to ensure that customers received a good service.'

Five arrested in murder investigation

A 54-year-old man is due in court later, charged with the murder of a man in Folkestone.

Brian Sharp was arrested on Sunday afternoon, 10th November 2013. Another man, aged 25 and from Folkestone, also arrested on suspicion of murder and has been released on bail until 28th November 2013.

Three men of no fixed address were arrested on Saturday on suspicion of assault. Two of the men, aged 28 and 38, have been released without charge. The third man, aged 44, has been released on bail pending further enquiries until 6 December.
