Five vehicles involved in fatal crash

Police have launched an investigation after a fatal crash involving five vehicles in Oxfordshire.

It happened at around 12.30pm on the A424 between Burford and Stow-On-The-Wold at the junction to Idbury and Foscot on Friday.

The 57-year-old male driver of one of the vehicles died at the scene.

Another driver and passenger sustained serious but not life threatening injuries.

Welcome Lolita

First-time parents Gomez and Cali have produced their first baby Tapir. The calf has been named Lolita by visitors to the Park's Facebook page. It's also the first Tapir birth at the Park since 2006. Other newborns include Baby Colobus Monkey, Five tiny Grey Mouse Lemurs and a Red Panda cub.

Body found in Burford

Thames Valley Police was called by a member of the public at around 9.40am who reported seeing a body in the river, close to Church Lane, in Burford.

Officers attended and the body of a woman was recovered at around 10.15am.

Police are working to identify the woman and establish the circumstances of her death. At this time it is too early to say whether her death is suspicious.
