Man dies following collision at Rowlands Castle

Police are appealing for witnesses after a road traffic incident at Rowlands Castle.

It happened at 4.10pm at Comley Hill, Horndean Road yesterday, Sunday September 28.

A 25 year old man sadly died in the incident.

He was Joseph Butland from Edgell Road in Westbourne.

Mr Butland was riding his green and black Kawasaki motorcycle, and it's thought he collided with two vehicles before being thrown from his bike.

Police would like to hear from anyone who saw what happened, or who saw either the motorcycle or a dark coloured 4x4 prior to the incident.

Pedestrian in serious condition in hospital

Kent Police was called at 8.29am on Tuesday 23 September to a report of a collision on Valley Drive. The incident is reported to have involved a car - grey Citroen C1 - and a pedestrian.

The pedestrian, thought to be a teenage boy, was taken to a London hospital where he remains in a serious condition.

The road was closed until around 10am while emergency services dealt with the incident.

5-year-old boy suffers broken leg after collision with car

Police are seeking witnesses to an incident on the A2023 Hove Street, Hove, at 1.26pm on Tuesday, in which a five-year-old boy suffered a broken leg.

The boy was on foot when he was in collision with a car outside The Connaught public house.

He was taken by ambulance to the Royal Sussex County Hospital, Brighton.Anyone who saw the collision is asked to phone Sussex Police on 101 or email, quoting serial 653 of 27/5.

Tribute to toddler who died in crash

Tributes have been paid to a two year old girl who died following a crash at a caravan site in Oxfordshire at the weekend. Ellie-May Doran was struck by a reversing car at Oaks View Park in Upper Arnott near Bicester on Saturday.

In a statement, her family said, "Ellie-May used to love cups of tea and there was a little saying her mum used to sing to her every time she picked her up – ‘Ellie-May every day drinking tea’ She was tiny and had blonde ringlets like Shirley Temple and her eyes were so blue like the sky.

"She was so small but loved an argument – she loved to disagree! She was so loved and is missed – she was cherished by everyone. Her memory will never die and we will never forget her. She is now in Heaven with her uncle Michael.

“We would like to thank the people in the community for their support and understanding while our family are visiting.”

Woman hit by bus taken to hospital with leg injury

Sussex Police are appealing for witnesses after a pedestrian was hit by a bus.

It happened near to a bus stop on South Street in Worthing on Wednesday afternoon, at around 5:30pm.

The 53-year-old woman who was hit was taken to the Royal Sussex County Hospital with a serious leg injury.

Anyone who may have seen what happened should call 101 quoting serial 1063 of 26/2.


13-year-old girl hit by car

Police are appealing for witnesses to traffic collision in Queens Road, Hastings, near Morrisons petrol station at about 1.30pm on Wednesday 19th February. A 13-year old local girl pedestrian was in collision with a silver Citroen Xsara.

She was taken to the Conquest Hospital where she is receiving treatment for what are not currently assessed as serious injuries. There were several pedestrians and other motorists around at the time of the collision and anyone who saw what happened is asked to call the police via 101.

Witness appeal after 11-year-old boy is hit by car

Police are appealing for witnesses after an 11-year-old boy was hit by a car on Folkestone Road in Dover.

He was hit on Tuesday 28th January just after 6pm.

He was taken to Kings College Hospital in London, but his injuries are not thought to be serious.

Anyone with information or who saw a group of boys playing in and around the road at that time are asked to call PC Mark Ellul on 01304 218110.

Pedestrian seriously injured in crash

Police in Poole are appealing for witnesses following a serious injury collision in the town.

The incident happened at 11.50am on Thursday 16th January at the Shah of Persia traffic lights in Longfleet Road.

An 84-year-old Poole woman was walking across the junction when she collided with a Citroen C3 turning right from Longfleet Road into Fernside Road.

The pedestrian suffered serious leg and arm injuries and was taken to hospital for treatment. The driver of the Citroen car was shaken but uninjured.

I am appealing for anyone with information about this incident to contact Dorset Police urgently. I am particularly keen to hear from anyone who witnessed the collision to call me on 101. All calls will be treated in the strictest of confidence.”

Pensioner injured in collision

A pensioner has been seriously injured following a collision in Hampshire.

Police were called at 9.40am to the Milton Road-Locksway Road area of Southsea this morning to reports of a collision involving a lorry and a pedestrian.

The elderly woman, believed to be in her 70s, received serious leg injuries, which are life-threatening.

The injured woman was taken by air ambulance to Southampton General Hospital.

Closures are likely to remain in place on Milton Road / Locksway Road until 3pm this afternoon.
