Fears convicted murderer could be released

He was described by police as a ''cold-blooded killer'' when he murdered a pensioner in Kent eighteen years ago. But tonight there are fears that gun fanatic Anthony Swindells could soon be released from prison.

Swindells strangled the former Ramsgate Town Clerk Ken Speakman. He was shot and injured when he attempted to rob another man a few months later.

Now a parole board is deciding whether or not to free him, leading to fears - by some - that he might 'come after' his final victim. Derek Johnson reports.
