It's not the biggest of the summer music festivals, but Cropredy has a core of loyal supporters who've been eagerly awaiting the three-day event in Oxfordshire.
It's staged by the music legends, Fairport Convention, and this year the band will be celebrating their golden anniversary.
As Penny Silvester reports.
Penny spoke to Festival Director Gareth Williams, Pub Landlady Jill Ward, Village Shop Worker Chris Bradshaw, Ann Voce from Fair Mobility, festival fan Tim Hayes and Dave Pegg from Fairport Convention.
Twenty thousand music fans will descend on a village in Oxfordshire today - for the annual Cropredy festival.
The three-day event is staged by folk rock legends Fairport Convention, who'll be celebrating their golden anniversary with an on-stage reunion.
Now in its 38th year, the festival started from humble beginnings as Festival Director, Gareth Williams, explains:
The lineup for this year's Cropredy music festival in Banbury has been announced. Alice Cooper, Levellers and 10CC will all be taking to the stage. The three-day festival is expected to attract an audience of up to 20,000.
