The Red Arrows display over Southampton this evening has been cancelled. The display team were due to fly over the Queen Mary 2, Queen Elizabeth and Queen Victoria at 1820. But the bad weather has forced them to call off the flight.
Twenty thousand people were expected to descend on Mayflower Park this afternoon for a special jubilee fair and entertainment. Only a fraction of those turned out and braved the weather but those that did, were determined to enjoy themselves.
The display thrilled thousands of people,outside Buckingham Palace.
