Man jailed after road rage attack
A 36 year-old man has been jailed for two years for assaulting a pensioner in Tunbridge Wells in a road rage attack.
Brian Deacon, of Westwood Road, East Peckham, was riding his motorcycle when a 4x4 vehicle pulled out in front of him, causing him to brake hard.
He chased the vehicle, sounding his horn and flashing his lights, before pulling in front of the 4x4 and causing the driver to stop.
Deacon approached the vehicle and snatched the 76 year-old victim’s walking stick, snapped it and assaulted him with it.

Fire Started by Cigarette
A fire which almost destroyed a house in Kent this morning was started by a cigarette, firefighters have concluded. They think the occupant of the property at East Peckham didn't put her cigarette out properly before emptying an ashtray into a bin. She escaped with her four children.

East Peckham House Fire - first footage
Twenty firefighters have been dealing with a house fire in West Kent. They were called to the property in Hop Bine Close, East Peckham, near Tonbridge just before 4 o'clock this morning. Although the fire started affecting another house no-one is believed to have been hurt.
