Man who was killed on A27 named

The man who died on the A27 at Falmer on Saturday 5th July has been named as Adam Zachary Rice.

He was a 21-year-old student with the International Summer School of Sussex University from California in America.

Emergency services were called at around 1.15am on Saturday to a collision on the eastbound A27 at Falmer between a car and a pedestrian.

Adam, who was the pedestrian, sadly died at hospital on Sunday.

Police are appealing to anyone who witnessed the collision or saw the pedestrian leading up to it to contact police on 101, quoting Operation Telemark.

Student dies after being hit by a car on the M27

A 21-year-old man has died after being hit by a car on the A27. Emergency services were called to a to a collision on the eastbound A27 at Falmer between a car and a pedestrian in the early hours of Saturday morning.

The man, who is believed to be an American student, was taken to the Royal Sussex County Hospital but sadly died on Sunday afternoon.

PC Kelly Newton said: "We are appealing to anyone who witnessed the collision or saw the pedestrian leading up to it to contact police on 101, quoting Operation Telemark."
