An armed robber who used a variety of disguises, including one of Elvis Presley, has been sentenced to life imprisonment. Martin Reilly carried out a series of raids on betting shops across our region. Malcolm Shaw reports.
An armed robber who donned a number of disguises, including an Elvis wig and sideburns, has been jailed for life.
Martin Reilly, of no fixed abode, must serve at least 12 years before he will be considered for parole.
He pleaded guilty to 15 offences of robbery and armed robbery and denied a further five.
Brighton Crown Court heard the 53 year old has a severe personality disorder. Many of his victims were described as "deeply traumatised".
