House hit by lightning
A Grade II listed manor house in Oxfordshire has been seriously damaged by fire after it was hit by a lightning bolt.

Lightning strike starts fire
The emergency services say they believe a fire at an historic Grade II listed property in Oxfordshire was caused by a lightning strike.
Oxfordshire Fire and Rescue Service and Thames Valley Police are not treating the blaze as suspicious.
It's understood the owner of the Fawler Manor near Kingston Lisle raised the alarm last night.

Historic home badly damaged by fire
Firefighters from Oxfordshire and Berkshire are still at the scene of a large fire at an historic Grade II listed property near Kingston Lisle in Oxfordshire.
At the height of the blaze more than 80 firefighters including crews from Reading, Newbury, Oxford and Wantage tackled the fire through torrential rain.
It's understood that the roof of Fawler Manor which dates from the early 16th century has been badly damaged.
The cause of the fire is not thought to be suspicious, but investigations are continuing.
