The Olympic torch will take in a mountain bike track and the world's longest pier as it continues its journey today.
Among the highlights will be a visit to the Olympic mountain bike course at Hadleigh Farm.
The relay will arrive at Southend-on-Sea - home of the longest pier in the world - mid-morning where it will be greeted by a 2,000-strong choir and swimmer Mark Foster, who is originally from Essex.
