Witness appeal after fall from Kent bridge.

Officers investigating the death of a man who fell from a bridge on to the Thanet Way are appealing for information.

Kent Police was called at 8.50pm on Friday 23 May to reports a man had fallen from a footbridge on to the London-bound carriageway of the A299 near Whitstable.

Officers and ambulance staff attended the scene but the man, believed to be in his late 40s/early 50s, was pronounced dead at the scene. His death is not being treated as suspicious but police would like to speak to anyone who saw a man near the bridge at that time.

Police want to speak to witnesses of footbridge assault

Police in Southampton are looking for witnesses to an assault on Chantry Road footbridge on Saturday, February 9. Between 1.30 and 2.30am, a 28-year-old Southampton man was walking on the footbridge from Marsh Lane to Chantry Road when he was passed by two men, one black and one white.

One of the two men punched the 28-year-old in the face, knocking him to the ground. The victim suffered a swollen and black eye and grazes to his cheek, chin and shoulder. The men are described as 20 to 25 years old, slim and 5ft 10ins tall.
