Thousands of runners took to the streets in Gosport today for the town's annual half-marathon. There were serious runners hoping for a personal best, children who took part in a fun-run and even a tiger who broke a world record. Juliette Fletcher has more.

The Gosport Half Marathon takes place at 10am today. Around 2,000 competitors have registered to take part in the race in Hampshire. The event starts and finishes in Browndown Road and is being hosted by the Gosport Road Runners. The course of the race can be found here on the official site.
The race was voted by ‘Runners World’ readers as the best UK half marathon for achieving a Personal Best time. The course is flat and virtually all off-road with a section of the route on the service roads of an airfield and along Lee-on-the-Solent seafront promenade.
