Hastings United make it to FA Cup Third Round

The East Sussex town of Hastings has a place in the history books once more - thanks to it's non league football team who last night made it through to the third round of the FA Cup.

As a Ryman League side Hastings United are two tiers off the Football League and now they've earned a lucrative match against Championship opposition.

Non-league Hastings United have reached the Third Round of the FA Cup for the first time in the club's history.The Arrows beat Harrogate Town 5-4 in a penalty shoot out after extra time saw the score level at one all.

They'll now travel to Championship high flyers Middlesborough in the next round.A record attendance for a competitive game of more than four thousand watched history being made at the Pilot Field.
