This is the first official family picture of Prince George with his parents and family dog Lupo. It was taken by Kate Middleston's father, Michael Middleton at his home in Bucklebury in Berkshire, earlier this month.

Michael Middleton follows a long line of photographers to have captured important images of members of the royal family.

William was on the opposite team to his brother, Prince Harry, at the event held at musical impresario Andrew Lloyd Webber's Berkshire estate yesterday.

It's not far from Bucklebury, Kate's family home. Her parents still live there and it's where she plans to stay after baby's arrival.

Andrew Lloyd Webber's event - called the Kent and Curwen Royal Charity Polo Cup - was held in aid of Sentebale and the Tusk Trust charities, which the Princes support.

Harry's team won the game with a last-minute goal, and he was awarded the most valuable player award.

Meanwhile bookmakers Coral said the odds on Kate giving birth today had shortened from 5/1 to 4/1 after a flurry of bets.

Duchess Kate attends Trooping the Colour

The Duchess of Cambridge has appeared at Trooping The Colour with other members of the royal family in what's believed to be her final public engagement before the birth of her and Prince William's first child.

Earlier this week the Berkshire-born duchess made her last solo public appearance before having her baby, as the Godmother of the 'Royal Princess', Southampton's newest cruise ship.

As the Duke of Edinburgh is still recovering in hospital from exploratory abdominal surgery, the monarch has invited her cousin, the Duke of Kent, to join her for the short journey.

The Duchess of Cambridge, attending her last public engagement before her baby is born in mid-July, will ride in a carriage with the Duchess of Cornwall and Prince Harry.

Sangeeta meets new arrivals at Kate's hospital

Today's visit is the last official engagement before the royal birth. Kate is expected to have her baby at St Mary's Hospital in London. That is where both William and Harry were born.

But if baby comes early - and the Duchess is at her parents' home in Berkshire, as she says she will be - there could be a dash to the Royal Berkshire Hospital in Reading. They are on the standby - just in case. And that is where Kate herself was born.

Sangeeta was given an exclusive visit to the maternity unit to meet the staff and the new arrivals.
