Police appeal after teen's death

Officers investigating a fatal road traffic collision in which a 14-year-old cyclist died have renewed an appeal for information.

The collision occurred on the A2 London Road, near Bapchild Cricket Club on Monday, 30 July 2012, at around 9.15pm.

Sittingbourne teenager, Kyle Coen died after being involved in a collision with a Fiat Bravo.

Police are now trying to trace a key witness who may be able to assist officers with their investigation.

We have received a good response to our initial witness appeal, and I would like to trace a man who was seen with a small dog just prior to the collision on the Bapchild side. It is understood he assisted after the collision and he may have information that is helpful to our investigation.

– Detective Sergeant Scott Lynch, Senior investigating officer.

A 27-year-old woman and 23-year-old man have been arrested in connection with the collision. They have been released on bail whilst the investigation continues and will return to a police station in Kent at a later date.
