Homeless man killed in a "vicious and sustained attack"

A homeless man found murdered in Sussex - had been trying to get off the streets and find somewhere safe to live.

Police have named the victim as Lee Williams. They say the 45-year-old from Hastings, who was a father-of-three, was killed in a "vicious and sustained attack". His body was found in a makeshift shelter in Hove. Malcolm Shaw reports.

Murdered homeless man named by police

Sussex Police have named a homeless man who was found dead on the seafront in Hove on Monday 11th February.

A murder investigation is underway into the death of Lee Williams aged 45. A post mortem examination revealed he died from severe injuries to his face and head caused by a heavy object. His ribs also had multiple fractures.
