Crawley Town appoints their new manager

Crawley Town have appointed former Cheltenham boss Mark Yates as their new manager.

The 45-year-old replaces John Gregory, who stepped down to have heart surgery. Yates has agreed a two year contract at the Broadfield stadium.

The Red Devils of Sussex were demoted from League One earlier this month. And the new manager knows money is tight.

Speculation mounts over new Gills manager

Martin Allen is widely expected to be named as the new Gillingham manager later this afternoon.

Reports circulating this morning claimed the former Barnet and Brentford boss was on his way to Kent to be unveiled at a press conference at Priestfield at 4pm.

Allen was in charge at Underhill for a three-game spell at the end of last season and oversaw two wins in that stay, including a final day victory which kept Barnet in the League.
