Tickets for a new cinema in Kent - named after the director of the Bourne films - will be free during its first month. The Paul Greengrass Cinema in Gravesend will mark a return of a cinema to the town, seven years after the last picture house burned down.

The cinema is named after the director of the Bourne Supremacy and Bourne Legacy, starring Matt Damon. Mr Greengrass was educated locally and is keen to be a patron of the cinema.

Council leader John Burden said: "The people of Gravesham have been urging us to create a cinema venue for some time. Now we have invested in state-of-the art equipment to show Blue-Ray quality pictures on a brand new screen."
