A 12-year-old who was warned by doctors she may never walk or lead a normal life, will carry the Olympic Torch in Sussex today. Lauren Gander was born with spina bifida. But today she not only walks with out any problems, but has become a talented dancer and performer.
Lauren has also raised £78,000 for charity helping other children lead better lives. Her friends and family find her to be an inspiration. The teenager will carry the Torch in Rye this morning.
Daisy was nominated to carry the flame for working so hard and delivering a great department everyday, excelling great standards and always having passion and drive. She is an honour to work with and such a great person.
The Olympic torch will be carried on the Hastings Funicular Railway this morning as it makes its way along the South coast. Hundreds of people are expected to line the relay route on the way to Dover.
