A pedestrian has suffered serious head injuries after falling into a river in Dorset.
Police say a small light coloured car driving towards the Bridport area caused two people walking nearby to move out the way- one of them fell through railings and into the River Brit.
It happened on Bridport Road close to the junction with Whitcombe Road at 11pm on Thursday night.
Police are appealing for witnesses to come forward.
Kent Police are appealing for witnesses after a fatal crash in Dartford.
A pedestrian, thought to be in his 80's, is reported to have been hit by a car on Park Road.
Sadly, he was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver of the car was taken to Darent Valley Hospital with minor injuries.
Detective Sergeant Scott Lynch, of the Serious Collision Investigation Unit at Kent Police said, ‘I would urge anyone who witnessed the collision and has not yet spoken to an officer to get in touch as you might have information that could help with our investigation.
"I would also ask anyone who saw the car or the man, who was described as using a walking stick and wearing a flat cap, prior to the collision to contact the Serious Collision Investigation Unit.’

The M25 has now been fully reopened to traffic following this morning's fatal collision close to junction six at Godstone.
The investigation into the circumstances of the collision remains ongoing.
A teenager who died in a collision near Tadley on Friday has been named as 15-year-old Sam Owen Belcher, of Bowmonts Road in the town.
The collision on Silchester Road at Pamber Heath, happened at around 2.30am last Friday and involved a black Ford Ka.
The driver, an 18-year-old Tadley woman, was arrested on suspicion of causing death by careless driving and bailed until March 21, 2013.
Police are continuing their appeal for anyone who may have seen thecollision or either Sam or the car prior to it.
