The UK's biggest employer of people from the Philippines has donated more than one million dollars to the appeal fund for the typhoon disaster.
More than 4,000 people from the country are employed on Southampton based cruise ships operated by P&O Cruises and Cunard.
Special support and counselling is also be provided to staff concerned about relatives.
The company is also looking at offering more practical support on the ground in the
Philippines and is working with disaster relief agencies to see how it can contribute
