Council to buy neglected pier
The owners of Hastings Pier have failed to respond to a two month deadline to begin repairs. The Pier was all but destroyed in an arson attack in 2010. Hastings Council said owners Ravenclaw have ignored their approaches. It will now issue a compulsory purchase order to buy the pier back.
