Remembered for WW2 dogfight

Flight Officer Oswald Pigg was killed when his aircraft crashed in Pluckley following a dogfight with a Luftwaffe Messerschmitt. And now the site will bear a plaque in his name. The event was attended by family, friends and a Battle of Britain veteran.

Our report features Flight Officer Pigg's great-nephew Joff Haigh, his niece Stephanie Haigh, Wing Commander Bob Foster, himself a pilot in the Battle of Britain, and Jean Cooper who witnessed the moment of the plane crash.
