Grandfather hits out at hospital over appointment delays

A grandfather living with diabetes says his life could be at risk because he has been told to wait seven months before he can see a specialist.

Paul Baker, whos 70 and from Dover, has hit out at hospital bosses at the QEQM at Margate for not explaining the delay. He's been speaking to our reporter Nashreen Issa.

Margate woman charged with attempted murder

A woman from Margate has been charged with attempted murder after a a 32-year-old man was seriously assaulted. 42-year-old Maria Francis, of Ethlebert Terrace, Margate was arrested and charged with the offence shortly before midnight yesterday (Monday, 30 September).

She has been refused bail and is due to appear before Magistrates today (Tuesday, 1 October).
