Two men who stole thousands of pounds during raids at travel agents in Kent and Sussex have been sentenced to a total of 27 years in prison.
Cristo carried out a robbery at the Thomas Cook travel agents in Hove. He threatened a female cleaner with a handgun before escaping with cash and travellers cheques. Christo was sentenced to 15 years and Joseph 12.
Police at Eastleigh have released a CCTV photo of four men who are suspected of raiding a Boots store in Fryern Arcade, Chandlers Ford, at about 2am Friday, February 1. Four men climbed the spiral staircase and used a sledge hammer to smash the front double glazed door.
Inside, they stole £1,500 worth of electrical goods, including Mark HIU hairdryers; Babyliss hairdryers, tongs, straighteners and stylers; Braun Epilators; Remington tongs and straighteners and a Vidal Sassoon hair styler. The stolen property was taken away in large green bags.
Police believe another raid at Hair at Monrose, The Mall, Winchester Road, Chandlers Ford, may be related. Again, the thieves smashed their way into the salon and took £40, GHD hair straighteners and 30 Boho Betty bracelets. The attack took place overnight Friday – Saturday, February 1-2.
Police are appealing for anyone who knows the raiders or who is offered cheap electrical beauty products to contact PC Mike Duke or PC Kelly Drodge at Eastleigh on 101.
Three men have made off with a stash of cigarettes thought to be worth thousands of pounds after raiding a supermarket in Hampshire. It happened at the Co-Op in Locks Heath in the early hours of Friday, 2 March. Police have released CCTV footage of the robbery and are appealing for witnesses.
