A London man and a Bournemouth woman, aged 29 and 22, were arrested this morning, at an address in Westbourne. They were arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to murder Reece James Menzies and continue to assist police with their enquiries.
Further searches in Bournemouth and London have taken place as the hunt for a weapon continues. Reece, 21, was found dead at his flat, at the junction of Roumelia Lane and Sea Road in Boscombe, on Wednesday 25 July 2012. He had sustained a gunshot wound.
Three London men – 33-year-old Wayne Stephenson, 22-year-old Keifer Hutchinson and 24-year-old Jarome Parkinson – were charged with Reece’s murder last month.
Three men are due before magistrates in Bournemouth later charged with the murder of a 21-year-old man in Boscombe. Reece Menzies was found dead at his home in Bournemouth on July 25th.
The three men have been in custody for the last 72 hours and they have all been interviewed at length. We have presented details of these interviews as well as evidence gathered over the past month to the Crown Prosecution Service, with whom we have worked closely. The progression of the investigation to this point today demonstrates the professionalism, commitment and tireless work of Dorset Police staff, with the active support of Operation Trident and Kent police.
