A 16-year-old boy had his jaw broken after he was assaulted by a man as he was taking part in a snowball fight.
The boy was playing with four friends in woods close to Willow Tree Walk and South East Road in Southampton at around 6.35pm on Monday, January 21.
Two men approached the group from the road and accused them of throwing a snowball at their car smashing a window. The group did not think they had and decided to run away but as the victim went past the men he was grabbed by his coat by one of them.
He was then punched in the face. He fell to the ground where he was then also kicked once in the same place. Both men took part in the assault. Witnesses should call 0800 555 111.
A 33-year-old man needed hospital treatment for facial injuries after he had snowballs thrown at him, he was racially abused and then assaulted.
Police are appealing for witnesses to the unprovoked attack which occurred in Sheepfold Lane, Park Farm, Ashford at about 2.30pm on 20th January 2013.
Kent Police said the man was out for a walk with his wife when a group of young people started throwing snowballs at them.
When he asked them to stop they started racially abusing him and then viciously assaulted him. His wife was also assaulted in the incident and received minor injuries.
