A 26-year-old man was hit by a taxi in Maidstone and suffered life-threatening injuries after he was dragged along the road underneath it, on Station Road in Ashford.
Crash investigators are appealing for two motorists, who witnessed the incident at about 4.50am on 22nd December, to come forward.
Before the collision, CCTV images show the man appeared unsteady on his feet in the middle of the road and tried to slow cars and get inside them.
The man approached the drivers of two cars that were in front of the taxi just before he was hit. They were travelling towards Ashford International.
The vehicles were a people carrier, thought to be a Ford Galaxy, and a Peugeot 406 Estate. Both vehicles slowed down when the man approached them and crash investigators believe that the drivers would remember this. The man has dark brown cropped hair, a beard and is six feet tall.
