Staff at a Thomas Cook shop were tied up during an armed robbery in Sussex. The man entered the Hove store at 4.50pm on Friday wearing a balaclava with a hood pulled up and waving what was believed to be a handgun at staff.
He assaulted a female member of staff and then tied the other staff up before stealing a substantial amount of cash of various currencies, travel cards and travellers cheques. No one was injured in the incident.
Detective Sergeant Mark Rosser said: "This was clearly a very distressing incident for those who found themselves confronted by this man." The man is described as about 5' 8", wearing a black puffa style jacket with a grey hooded top underneath.
