Detectives investigating the deaths of two people in a car fire in Southend believe it could be a mother and son.
Formal identification is likely to take some weeks.
Witnesses saw the car alight near Thorpe Bay Lawn Tennis Club on the Esplanade on Tuesday afternoon.
Once the fire had been extinguished the bodies of two people were found in that vehicle, which is believed to be a black Vauxhall Vectra.
Detectives are particularly keen to hear from a dog walker who may have been in the area at about 5.20pm or anyone else.
Police are aware some people may have taken moving footage or images on mobile devices at the time and would ask for these to be made available to detectives.
