Police in Weymouth are appealing for witnesses after a tortoise was stolen from a home in the town.
Those responsible got into an insecure greenhouse and stole the female tortoise called Tucker.
She is thought to be around 60 to 70 years old and worth around £300. She has also been micro chipped.
The tortoise was thought to be taken on Friday 18th October between 10am and 12pm at a property in Bowleaze Coveway.
PC Sally Ludlow of WEymouth Police said, "The owners are devastated by the loss and urge anyone with information to come forward."
Witnesses should contact Dorset Police on 101, quoting incident number 26:196.
