It's a controversial scheme that some see as being good for business, and others think could spell the death of our tourist resorts.

Supporters say profits from the so-called "tourist tax" - charging holidaymakers extra for their accommodation - could be pumped back in the local economy.

Opponents, though, believe it would put visitors off at a time when finances are already tight. Charlotte Wilkins reports and speaks to Mark Jones, of Brighton and Hove's Hotel Association.
