Witness appeal after jogger attacked in Wateringbury

Kent Police are appealing for witnesses after a jogger was was attacked while running in Wateringbury in Kent. The unprovoked attack happened on 17 September.

It is being reported that the passenger of a passing white van wound down the window and fired an object from what appeared to be a catapult. It hit the 20-year-old runner as she approached the junction of Pizien Well Road and Tonbridge Road .

“This was an assault against a victim who was simply out exercising and causing no bother or inconvenience to anyone. We would be very keen to hear from anyone who saw the van in the area at the time or who witnessed the assault so we can identify the driver and passenger and speak to them about this report.”
