Detectives are appealing for information after a ram raid style robbery at West End Service Station.
The robbers used a stolen Rover Metro to reverse into the service station in Swaythling Road at around 2.10am this morning, Monday, November 25th.
A man working the night shift saw the Metro reverse at speed crashing into the metal roller shutter covering the front door of the garage shop.
Three hooded men ran into the garage and demanded money. They stole just over £10,000 and left on foot - leaving the car behind.
Eastleigh Borough Council has now officially bought the Rose Bowl site in West End - home to Hampshire County Cricket ground.
They plan to develop the site with a hotel, spa, golf course and leisure complex in a project costing £48 million pounds.
The former Rose Bowl company had run into financial difficulties which had threatened its future.
