Roads Policing officers are appealing for witnesses to an incident in which a 47-year-old motorcyclist died near East Meon yesterday.
At around 3.15pm, a motorcyclist was travelling on the main road from East Meon to West Meon and was negoating a lefthand bend when his bike came off the road and collided with a tree.
He was treated at the site of the collision by a doctor from the Hampshire Air Ambulance but was sadly pronounced dead at the scene.
The man is believed to be from Burgess Hill in West Sussex. His family are being informed. A formal identification will take place tomorrow.
The man was riding with a second motorcyclist who was not involved in the collision.
Anyone who witnessed this incident and is able to provide information which could help the investigation is urged to call 101 and ask for Havant Roads Policing Unit, quoting Operation Content.
The A32 is blocked in both directions because of a fallen tree between High Street and A272. A diversion is in place.
