High Speed 1 'poor value for money'

High Speed 1 - the Channel Tunnel Rail Link - has been criticised as poor value for money by a committee of MPs.The line was opened in 2007 to carry high speed Javelins and Eurostars. But passenger numbers have been well below forecasts.
