A headteacher has paid tribute to a 15-year-old girl who collapsed and died whilst playing rounders at school yesterday. Nicky Payne was taking part in a PE lesson at Angley School in Cranbrook. Headteacher Debbie Coslett said the following in a statement:
"Everyone at the school is extremely shocked and saddened by the news of Nicky's death. Our thoughts and deepest sympathies are with her family and friends at this very difficult time. Nicky played a full life in the part of the school and was the first volunteer for any activity."
