The excuses that don't ring true

One lady stopped travelling at 44 mph on Littlemoor Road in Weymouth said that she was just keeping up with the flow of traffic. She changed her defence when the officer pointed out that she was the only car on the road.

Speeding excuses told to police

Dorset police have released a list of excuses given by drivers after being caught for speeding this year. The Roads Policing Team dealt with 4,067 driving offences including speeding, driving while using a mobile and not wearing a seat belt.
