Police issue statement after Horsham crash
Sussex Police have confirmed that one man has died and two are critically ill in hospital following a crash yesterday outside Horsham.
The accident occurred in Worthing Road, Southwater, just off the A24 Hop Oast roundabout at 4.45pm. It involved a Ford Fiesta and a Toyota Landcruiser.
A 44-year old local man, a passenger in the Fiesta, died at the scene.
The 25-year old local man driving the Fiesta and another passenger, a 27-year old local man, were seriously injured and airlifted to Kings College Hospital in South London, where both remain in a critical condition.
The 44-year old local man driving the Landcruiser received a minor arm injury.
A Sussex Police spokesman said: "We are appealing for anyone who may have witnessed the collision or any events leading up to it to contact the Road Policing Unit via 101 quoting Operation Pelham."
