Dorset Police officers searching for a missing man have launched a murder investigation after finding human remains near Lychett Matravers.
Geoffrey Reed aged 57, from Bournemouth was last seen on Thursday 7th June. Police have been appealing for information on his whereabouts.
On Tuesday forensic officers cordoned off houses and woodland close to Lytchett Matravers near Poole. Detectives say it is too early to say if the remains are those of Mr Reed.
