Dorset Police are continuing to question three people as part of a murder investigation.
The inquiry was launched after Geoffrey Reed, aged 57 and from Bournemouth, went missing. He was last seen on Thursday 7th June.
Human remains have been found near Lychett Matravers in Dorset but detectives say it is too early to say if the reamins are those of Mr Reed.
