A cyclist injured in a crash with a car in Dorchester has been left with a serious arm injury.
Now police are appealing for the car driver, who initially stopped to help the 59 year-old man, to come forward. Doctors say he will need an operation on his elbow.
“The driver of the car stopped at the scene and also took the cyclist to Dorset County Hospital for a check up. Therefore, this is not a fail to stop collision.
“At the time the cyclist was of the opinion that he was not injured and therefore did not take the drivers details.
“Following medical assessments he is now going to have a serious operation to his arm."
Witnesses and anyone with information should call Dorset Police in confidence on 101 quoting incident number 13:283.
