Two podgy pooches have been put on a strict diet and exercise regime at a Kent charity centre in an attempt to find them a loving new home.
Mongrels Janet and Anna both tipped the scales at 61kg when they arrived at Battersea Dogs And Cats Home's Brands Hatch centre last month.
The overweight duo began piling on the pounds while they lived in Spain, but, after the death of their owner, they were taken to the Brands Hatch centre.
Now six-year-old Janet and eight-year-old Anna are following personal training programmes at the centre in a bid to shed the pounds.
ßo far they have managed to lose 3kg each by cutting out calorie-laden treats and only eating weight-loss dog food, but they still have more work to do to reach their target weight of between 35 and 45kg.
